Our teaching faculty exceeds the certification requirements mandated by the Michigan Department of Education and our Authorizers. Our support staff is characterized by a strong work ethic, dedication to creating an environment conducive to academic learning and personal growth, and loyalty to going above and beyond the call of duty. Support staff positions include: Playground Aide, Teacher’s Aide, Office Professional, Child Care Aide, Food Service Aide, Maintenance, and Transportation. While the majority of our Teacher Aides are certified to teach in the State of Michigan, the basic requirement is a two-year degree from a college or university. Bus drivers are required to have a current Michigan Commercial Driver’s License with the Passenger and Air Brakes endorsements.
We require federal and state criminal background checks of all potential employees as well as certification of professional conduct from former employers. Our transportation professionals are required to undergo drug screenings and physicals.
