Great Things I Noticed This Week – September 26

Group Collaborative Learning

Many know that Montessori is a method of educating students based on self-directed activities, hands-on learning, and collaborative play. Throughout our classrooms at MMAEC, our students make creative choices in their learning, through age-appropriate activities/lessons. Both the classroom teacher and teaching assistant guide their process. In Ms. Brenda’s room, 7th and 8th-grade students are independently working on their work plans, while the others (pictured below) join in a group math lesson led by Ms. Amy. We are grateful for the collaboration of both teachers to engage and deepen our student’s knowledge and help them reach their maximum potential.
