MMAEC Receives Two Grants Before the New Year

The new year is almost underway, and we want to give a big thank you to all who have supported us. The support to our community has taken many forms, whether it be  families that give our schools their trust and their time, or our staff for putting their best effort in every day.

Though everyone at our school deserves thanks for what was an amazing 2021, we want to highlight the donors of the two grants we’ve recently received. Those grantees are the Michigan Department of Education and the American Heart Association.

The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) has provided funding for schools to improve and stabilize education for our youngest learners. Their Early Childhood Grant will go towards making Muskegon Montessori Academy for Environmental Change a place that students look forward to.

On top of what was a very generous grant from the MDE, we’ve also received a Garden Grant from the American Heart Association. This funding will allow us to improve and grow our garden here on school grounds. The environment and the outdoors are tied into our curriculum at every step, and this grant gives us the opportunity to enrich that even further.

Our community is tight-knit, and we value every contribution as a way to not only improve our school but our community. With support from both the Michigan Department of Education and the American Heart Association, we can look forward to a brighter tomorrow at Muskegon Montessori Academy for Environmental Change.
