MMAEC’s September in Review

Here at Muskegon Montessori Academy for Environmental Change (MMAEC), we could hardly await the start of another exciting year with our families and students. With last year’s circumstances regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a breath of fresh air to continue with our normal in-person learning environment. We held several events, all of which got us off to a fantastic start and we hope to carry that momentum through the rest of the school year.

The month started with what was an amazing first week of school. To see old friends and continue to make new ones is what we at MMAEC strive for, and the turn-out for that first week was exactly what we’d hoped for.

We were so excited for our first week, and that carried forward into picture day on the 15th. Everyone was so well behaved and dressed for the occasion that we know that our MMAEC families were happy.

The last of our events for the month of September was $1 Jean Day, where each student could pay a dollar to ditch the school uniform for their favorite pair of blue jeans. This to was a great success, and we have both our parents and our students to thank for that.

In conclusion, September was a fantastic month with plenty for our students to participate in, and we hope to continue this trend in to what promises to be another stellar year at MMAEC.
